pneumatic help

I am working on an 800 psi repeater. i'll be using co2, I found an 800 psi regulator, and need help designing a piston valve and triggering mechanism that can handle the power.

CO2 is not even that much above 800 psi..unless it's very hot.

So far I haven't seen much in your posts that suggest you're up to this..

Malleable iron, copper (depends on size), steel, galvanized..

For a trigger mech a hammer valve porting a machined teflon piston.

I'm running co2 commercial steel tank, 2000-3000 psi lol. thank for the info, it will help greatly.

I vote steel, because if the regulator, for any reason would fail, the gun wouldn't blow up & kill you and/or other people. When you are dealing with that high of pressures, safety should always come first...

For your valve question, look at B the B's Mr. Porter... The link is below. And to trigger the piston valve, a hammer valve would be great for something like this.

Look at BTB's T-bolt design. It uses a hammer valve in combination with a QEV to let out just a bit of air every shot, making it a repeater.
A good QEV can probably handle 800 psi, especially if you machine your own piston for it.

I had planned on steel construction, I want a powerful toy not an early grave lol. I have total safety in mind, all the regulators and everything else I will need are already on order and I should have the cannon finished in a week or two.

Oh, and as for ammo I was thinking some custom made lead or iron slugs. lol

I doubt the name is real. If you saw some of the juvinile pranks in movies like Porkeys, you will realise the name is most likely a prank just to see who you can get to say it over and over until they are embarrased.

I do not live in seatle and I really wish people would lay off the name. i'll drop the 0420 if it is offensive but otherwise get off my name, it is mine and I happen to enjoy the irony that comes with it. thank you.

Lol, if that's actually your name then fair enough.

By the way, good luck getting 3000 psi from CO2. Unless under certain conditions pertaining to temperature it would liquefy before that. And thus, the vapor pressure would be lower.
