Off to summervacation in an hour.
I just had time to share this with you..

Cannon name: Lupara ( Sawed-off III)
Cannon type: Single shot Pneumatic Sawed-off
Pressure used: Up to 50 bar
Valve: Modified QEV, now chambersealing!! High flow...
Caliber: 16 mm smoothbore ( perfect marble fit)
Stock/handles: Hardwood

The handle used to be bike handlebars, tapped to 1/2".
Ballvalve needs to be replaced, it leaks.
All hardwood still needs sanding, lacquer etc...

I lathed out the exit port on the QEV from the inside, leaving just a small ridge, to make room for the Nylon piston, and create higher flow than the original setup.

This also gave me the opportunity to get the 3/4" chamber and the barrel as close together as possible.
Piston has a 1 way rubber flap-for sensitive pilotting.
No idea about the performance but experience tells me at 50 bar it will be adequate...
I'll try to get the look up to Shatterhand level later, maybe add a triggerguard, that sort of stuff...

No time for testing...I'll be back in two weeks..
And off to European Pumkin Chunkin the next day.. :D

Some early pics:

50 bars???? WTF! What about recoil with a marble!?

I'm surprised a QEV could hold that pressure! gotta get my hands on one of these...

Nice woodworking around the rear handle, but that forearm deserves some checkering, and it all deserves some stain and polyurethane. :D

Sweet. It looks very short and compact.
Replace that ballvalve asap, a leak on the pilot side is dangerous.

Instead of unthreading the plug for breechloading, why not implement some sort of T-bolt? (pump action?)

Pumpkin chunkin yeah, I guess I'll see you in two weeks :)
Any other dutch/belgian guys want to come?

Probably just run into moar spudders who "coincedentally" had seen more of BTB's awesome stuff on youtube.( :P )

As usual, great to see another BTB creation.
OH, I recomend sanding a thumb spot on the grip, like a target grip maybe(?). 8)

Pretty Slick

Where did you get the QEV?

Have you thought of putting some sort of bolt on the breech of the barrel and loading it with premade shells? Just an idea that I tink will make it look INSANE

Woops..back earlier than expected...got tired of walking 200 meters to the bathroom in the freaking cold at night...bloody tents...

Well...The ballvalve will be replaced.
Offcourse I have considered all kinds of breechloading type solutions..I just haven't decided yet...

If I knew how to get good checkering on a grip I would have done it on " Old Shat.."

I got the QEV at BTB:D

I guess I have already.. :)

I intended to enter this in the competition..
But this valve was the only innovating thing I had left after someone beat me to the onboard benjamin pump.
That was supposed to be combined with this valve, but I couldn't get it to fill from the chamber side...
It would have made a very clean gun..

More pictures..Next thing is wrapping the ballvalve itself in wood, so the handle seems to be connected to the QEV.
This will be quite a task...like making jigsaw puzzles.... in 3D..
