this is a cruddy little thing my mate wanted for airsoft games. It has a 2inch ball valve as a valve and has a spring powered setup(not pictured).
caliber-2inches
cb ratio- 3:2 (3 foot chamber and 2 foot barrel)
main ammo- mini nerf rockets- 2 inch wooden slugs (not for airsoft of course)-airsoft bbs for bb showers.
it can shoot surprisingly far for its short barrel with an approx. 300ft range with nerf rockets.
the leverage stick on the ball valve is a mock (and oversized) rear bazooka rear sight. the front sight works and is made from steel strips. it is an elevation sight with 4 different settings.
the stock is wood furnished and stained
the rear flare thingy on the back (not sure what the weapon name is for that) is from a water-heater chimney brace from one of many water-heaters i have installed and taken out.

Interesting. I like ball valve guns, but I would suggest that you get a 1" sprinkler valve and mod it, you will get alot more range.It seems that everyone builds (or wants to build) a bazooka eventually.I'm working on a bazooka right now, its just on paper tho. Nice shop btw.

The sights are brilliant.

I'll have to agree with Ranger though. A Sprinkler valve will give you more consistency, and make it more accurate if you pilot if with a blowgun. The trigger pull will be less so than the awkward nature of a ball valve.

For a bazooka, I tried one as a coaxial. I'll have to dust it off and get some photos. It is built like my Mouse musket except is uses a golf ball barrel and is entirely thin wall PVC. Due to the construction, is is low pressure only. I rarely use it and never bothered to paint it. It presently needs a new piston. I have considered making a replacement piston out of HDPE like I made for the Mouse Musket, but it is low priority. My current build is the priority when I have build time (very little this year).

I do not remember the ratio, but I believe it is close to 1:1.

yup my buddy wanted to keep it simple bc he had never made an air cannon . he also didnt want to spend much money of a sprinkler valve. half way through biulding this i said "bullocks, why didnt i make a coaxial piston valve?!?" because the srping powered trigger valve(not pictured) was a real gremlin to make work

As promised, here are the photos of a golfball bazooka. This was designed to quickly stash and not raise suspicion when tossed in a pile of pipe supplies. It is designed to not look like anything dangerous. It is just under 6 feet long.

This cannon is built like my Mouse Musket. It too has a close ratio valve. Due to the thinwall chamber and barrel, this is a low pressure launcher.

The camouflage paint scheme is industrial shop incognito. It works well in it's environment and is easily concealed in a shop.

You mentioned your friend didnt want to spend money for the a sprinkler valve but 2 inch bv are about 10 bucks and so are sprinkler valves, blowguns are 3-4 bucks at stores like walmart so it wouldnt be a giant price increase, so if you ever build a another one you may want to considar this

yes but in the town i live in those valves are not readily available and i would have to special order it
