I've been doing lots of research and I have been reading a lot about Hubb's design but can't find the tutorial anywhere, I went to his forum and still can't find it. Can someone post a link please or point me in the right direction?

That 2" piston valve is a really easy valve for someone just starting out with them, which is the primary reason I did that. I do recommend you upgrading when you can, however, since this piston (although it does function well) tends to be heavy. And make sure you have a decent bumper for it, as I busted mine on the first try.

My current piston is a modified version of the The Slayer Valve by origin unknown and I was able to net approximately a 50 fps increase and reduced felt recoil with it over the Hubb piston.

Hubb is right, that piston is extremely heavy. I use it, but I'd recommend using a spool design like the one Hubb linked to. It will be much lighter not to mention easier to build. Also, if you can, use nylong hardware.
