Valve help

Recently, I became curious in air guns and the like, now, I need a valve similar to a Schrader valve. The Schrader valve basically ejects air if the top is pushed down, like this http://www.capsuretirecaps.com/images/a ... a_tire.gif but my question here is, is it possible to buy a valve that does the opposite? I want the side that gets pushed down, similar to the rod pushing down that to release air, but in the other direction, therefore, when the rod is pushed down the top, the bottom ejects the air, not the top

I don't think such a thing exists, but then again I'm not entirely sure what you mean...

Just reverse the schrader and it should do what you're thinking of, unless I'm not understanding you, which is very likely. Your wording of what you want the valve to do is difficult for me to understand. Please try to reword what you want this valve to do.

What are you trying to accomplish here? Are you trying to use this as a pilot valve?

you could use a hammer valve but it would be a tee shape

The hammer valve looks awesome, BUT, I need it small, I'm thinking of building a hand-gun sized air gun, the air tank will be the in the gun's grip

well you could use an blow gun and use the space behind the valve as the chamber and you could just put a short barrel at the from, power wouldnt be great be it would be easy to do, there is one on here somewhere but i cant find it at the moment

Also, if possible (sorry to double post, but I need to sleep now) I would also like to somehow make this gun semi automatic with around 3 shots

Um, any idea on how to make that hammer valve?Or like a miniature version of it?

OK, so um...can that be made into something as small as...a quarter of a pencil?Assuming I'm getting this right, the Schrader valve goes into the lyre cap, where air is the pumped in, the hammer is screwed into the chamber at the right side. When once pushes the rod , the hammer will go left and ir will go out from the outlet on top of the chamber, the spring will then return the hammer to its normal position. Is there a way, to make the air go left? And on a indirect suggestion from a poster above, a picture should be worth a thousand words, I'll draw a quick one on Microsoft paint and upload it.

That would certainly make the above paragraph easier to follow :)

Hopefully this helps, oh, and I'll get the loading figured out, but right now, its for a bolt loading one shot

Here's one way it could work, using a standard blowgun as a valve.

Well, that could work, but I'm in high school, I can't just get any parts I want ( I'm job-less), and except for the hammer valve, I got everything worked out, so is my design going to work? If not, I'll have to use yours, but it's gonna be a lot bigger, I'll post up the full design later

I've hit another snag, the only tools I have are hand tools, a jig saw and a dremel, I kind of doubt that just these tools can make this gun :(
