The "1996" implies he's 14-15. Not that being a teenager is a crime, we were all adolescents once, heck most of this forum still is.

Just one :D

I made this when I was your age. I did it without making a nuisance of myself on any forum, heck in those days internet was for awkward conversations with the "fairer" sex on mIRC  besides, if I listened to what people were telling me anyway, I wouldn't have made half the things I did.

If you want to satisfy your ambitions, I would take velocity3x's advice to heart:

I like the safe side, its better to be safe than sorry, and Holy crap, I made something almost the same as you o.o except mine didn't work. For some details. It was designed as a pump action crossbow and I designed a nifty little reloading mechanic. Basically you pull the thing back and it'll also fire it.(The thing I pull back will attach to trigger and then let loose the rope thing), but as it may, I couldn't find much of the materials and it ended up behind a crossbow carved out of wood with a saw, and the rope was a rubber band. Needless to say, it failed horribly.

So, how about the valve, eh? How old is JSR anyways? He looks about 18-20 in his photographs, assuming thats him and not some decoy. Oh, and you have quite an extensive photo folder, don't you, JSR?

I hate seeing age as any sort of excuse. I may not be the most prominent spudder on this site, but I've cranked out some respectable projects with even a couple more on the way. I'm 14 by the way

Age is an excuse when you're living with your asain parents ans they much want you to study every minute of your life, man,it wasn't until recently I started getting cash as my allowance and the freedom to do whatever the hell I wanted.(in the past,my allowance directly deposited in a bank account.)

There are photos of JSR? News to me... but I'm a little older than that ;)

Nope, but Google is my friend ;)

Indeed, to the extent that I assumed you were much older! Great example :D

With age and race on your side, we can't argue with you can we ;)

@nadjatee
In your first post starting this thread, you stated that you were going to build a PISTOL.

23 minutes later......

In your second post, you state that rather than build a pistol, you've decided to build a RIFLE.

How can anyone help you when you obviously don't know what exactly it is that you want to do? Perhaps you should decide on a course and proceed in that direction........then ask for help.

ok sorry, bit more on topic, i think this might suit your needs, all you need to do is figur out how you want to load it, and most of the stuff can be bought, its pretty much what i want to make but i have not yet devised a loading mechanism that i could use with the magazine stile i want

I decided rather to make a rifle then pistol at first because bigger was anbit easier at first, and hey, Asian people
are cool! Lock, I just needed the valve, checo two pages ago, i designed all that alreafy eith really bad diagrams

Aside from the off-topic and the mass of different diagrams of different valve's, I understood you in that way, that you are looking for a valve that:

-is just out of one unit (so no qev or other piloted ones.)
-will have enough flow/speed for small projectiles
-is capable of semi-auto-action

having this in mind, I would recommend you the following valve, it is basically a 3-way valve, that becomes unbalanced and use the "Tech's-QDV-style-effect" to force the valve open.
I use it as a piloted in this project, and it should work fine for small projectiles, at least better than a commercial 3-way (it has full-bore-flow, once opened).
the negative aspect is you will most probably make it on your own, but maybe I could help you with that if you decide to build one.[/url]

This is the issue I see here, understanding the theory is pointless if you don't have the ingenuity and imagination to use the resources at hand to flesh out the idea.

How the one you showed me works
nope it works exactly the way you want it. You pull the bolt back and air rushes through the side port into the barrel

basically speaking it is just like this design posted by JSR
Image
But it has a separate port for the magaize

Remember the air will push on the face of the piston with high force when triggered open. Be sure the piston has proper limits to motion or you will be searching for it behind you.
