hey, I recently made a cloud and was satisfied with the R.O.F., however the power was just downright pathetic , the b.b.'s could probably fly about 15 feet before hitting the ground and that is from about 5feet9inches off of the ground, anyway, my point is that I want to ask , how would I go about increasing the power, I have been running at about 80 psi because I want to be safe, my p.v.c. is rated to 280, but I don't know if my p.v.c. cement can hold pressures like that, and I don't want to risk blowing out my clean-out plug, so, any ideas?here is a picture so you can see it, and if you need a better pic I can get it probably unless my camera takes a crap.Image[/img]

You should definitely use a longer barrel. Does the ammo have a snug fit in the barrel? Too much blow by hurts performance as well.

If you are inputting 80psi you would be lucky to be getting 25psi in the chamber i would suggest 120 at least, a longer barrel(3x longer)tighter barrel and a dent at the breach will all help performance. If you put a longer barrel it slows the rof, like wise with a dent.

okay, thanks as it is 4:30 in the morning maybe I'l stop off a Lowe's later, the first time I went I forgot to take one of my airsoft B.B.'s so the ID of the tube was a guess, i would say that there is a half of a millimeter between the barrel and the projectile and when I chose my barrel I was thinking about the principal on which a gun works, however I figures 6-7 inches was long enough(except for certain things giggity) however I guess I'll get a longer one(where get), and , which part of this would you call a reach and what do yo mean a dent, by that do you mean a slight protrusion on the inner diameter of the barrel to allow for more force buildup before the release of the projectile?
P.S. I would also like to mention you people are much nicer than the nerfers, usually when you ask a question one of the smart-ass mods makes a rude comment and closes it because of all of the elitist people saying things like "G.T.F.O. nub" or making confusing explanations and when asked for a simplification they flip out

thats pretty loose id look for a tighter barrel, and yea go for about 2-3 feet of barrel. the dent yea you can just dint the barrel but its much better it you put a O-ring or something to make a air tight seal. you can sandwich a peace of rubber in between two fittings is a good way of doing it.

When you are very, very careful, you can place a nail at the beginning of the barrel, and hit it very gentle with a hammer. In this way you can make a very small dent, wich holds the BB to a higher pressure, giving more power.

The O-ring method is better, however.

there are a few ways of making a dent, you can it it with a hammer like Labtecpower said or cut a slit in the barrel and put a O-ring over it so that its in teh barrel a little bit, or the best way imo you can sandwich a peace of rubber in between two fittings. That way you can adjust the pressure required it pop the bb out.

well, being a former nerfer i don't have any small o-rings so, I don't know what to do about the slit with an o-ring maybe I'll find a rubber band or something

I don't see the relation there :?
You can use a similar detent like I used on my detent bb gun. It's easy to make.

Gun Freak, most nerfers use larger orings on there plungers. And also nerfhq.com might be friendlier.

this guys right on the money

also, I am confused what you mean by use your detent, would you be referring to seating an inner barrel in my old one or am I missing the point on an off-note, holy crap that makes my daisy grizzly look like a little girly gun

lol that doesn't stop you from going out and buying one 25 cent o-ring.

A detent holds back the bb by creating an airtight seal until enough pressure is generated to force it through the detent and out the barrel.
