MMK-3 French QDV airgun
Hi all !
I've just seen the french airgun, of Driveround3, so i hope you will not be disappointed ^^
It's a simple coaxial QDV airgun, i shoot marbles and compressed aluminum paper.
I make a small butt just to have a good grip, it's not really clean but i don't want to work on it, i've a 1"1/2 qev airgun witch will be finished during this holidays.
It work at 15bar (200psi) for now, but 20bar (300psi) when i'll have my freege coompressor.
I've tried to make a rifled barrel, but only in muzzle, and it's inefficient, i'll make another but fully, when i'll build an HP qdv canon from my first that a ever present here.

Nice rifling button.
One thing I notice is that a lot of you French airgunners dress up your cannons with wood, but never stain it?
Beautiful cannon, nonetheless. Nice to see more people building with hand-built parts and valves over ready-made QEV's or irrigation valves.

Very nice, any chance of seeing the piston itself?

Thanks all
For the wood part i apply a cleancoat, or else it stains yes, as my first airgun's butt.
For the piston i haven't got photos now, but before. Today, the space between ths two seat is smaller, and the o-ring is now directly bonded at the large washer for the seat of the baril (at right in picture).

Confounded language barrier. I was asking why nobody ever applied a colored wood stain?Mimikool wrote:For the wood part i apply a cleancoat, or else it stains yes, as my first airgun's butt.
Oh, sorry, google translate is so bad... But now i'm not sure to understand, but no we prefere not to paint.
I thinks, a lot of us want to keep the wood color, it's more beautiful, a mater of taste

I don't want to create a new topic, so I present my airgun MMK-2 here.
It will work at 40bar (580psi), but for now, only 10/12bar (150psi)

There is a ball valve at the end oh the chamber because, before, i've put the shrader valve here, on the valve.
But after i replace it behind the piston on the ball valve as you can see
I haven't got cap for now, so the ball valve is good as i don't put hight pressure.
