Title says all. I used a regular pop off valve set at 125psi, epoxy, 1/8" nipple, and 8" of 3/4" pvc pipe with an end cap. This was also my first time at casting epoxy on the inside of pvc, so its not that bad for me.

Pictures.

Full repeater.

Close up of nipple in the epoxy. It is removable as you will see in another photo.

Attached to fire extinguisher.

Hole where the pipe nipple goes.

I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.

So it's a piece of pipe with a pop off valve and a pipe nipple unnecessarily epoxied in it. Not a repeater yet :tongue3:

So it's basically this?

Needs a barrel, magazine...

Yeah jacks, thats pretty much what it is just without the horrible noise. I have an idea for a blow back barrel that really isn't blow back so much as pull back. Just put a sliding cover with orings over the barrel, and have it travel over or under the magazine, and epoxy it to the piston of the pop off. It makes it cycle opening and closing the breech.

Please direct him to the two years worth of research you have done on this basic idea JSR...(well you did most of the work)

It might prevent warhead from having to go through a nervous breakdown.... :D

These type of devices tend to...generally not work very well..

Yeah, I kinda figured. I have an idea on what I want to do, the hardest part will probably be putting the magazine together, but once I solve that problem it will be easy. Pretty much its going to be a 1/4" tube, with a 3/8" tube over it. And the 3/8" tube is epoxied to the hole where the ring goes on the pop off. Then a bit of grease and it should slide back and forth. No need to make it overly complicated.

Here you go, not counting the failed prototypes

custom pop-off v1.0

custom pop-off v2.0

custom pop-off v3.0
(well you did most of the work)

The snapvalve was pretty much the same thing though ;)

The snapvalve was pretty much the same thing though
I made two.First one as a stand alone unit, wich failed but was a VERY powerfull single shot/repeater valve.Just needed to close the blowgun in between shots.
But as a full auto valve it was a fail.

The second one I made specifically to be used in combination with a ( modified) QEV.
The result was shown in the " Pnushnikov" prototype.
(I got the bug back but my health is keeping me from picking up the hacksaw...jus waiting for a good day I guess)

So...JSR, with 3 working and numerous fails....you did most of the work.
:D

There is no fail like a JSR fail..

Well, I have a new idea. I saw saladtosser's "m16ish looking piston valve" rifle, and I think I will try something like that. I just have to figure out how to get the top of my pop-off off so I can put a much weaker spring inside instead of my 125 psi spring... Got any tips on how to remove the top?

I'll take that as a compliment :D

Remove the keyring, stick in a drill bit that fits in the hole and turn anti-clockwise.

Of course, my bad, that's the valve part. Can you grab the lip with pliers, the one just below the keyring.

Just barely. It slips ever time I try and turn it though.
