try using the search tool, because there are many different ways you can do this. The sleeving you mentioned should work, but there are more "gun like" options you may want to try.
You've pretty much got it, but I suggest adding some method of at least partially sealing the breech.

the sch 80 pipe will not be air tight and you will loose lots of power if you don't seal it up with O-rings.jsefcik wrote:Saefroch, I was going to seal it by sleeving it over with the sch 80 pipe, is that what you mean?

SDR may be too thin to add o-rings. For a GB barrel you can afford an close to airtight breech because golf balls aren't very tight in the barrelCrna Legija wrote:the sch 80 pipe will not be air tight and you will loose lots of power if you don't seal it up with O-rings.jsefcik wrote:Saefroch, I was going to seal it by sleeving it over with the sch 80 pipe, is that what you mean?
I love lamp
Maybe even a few layers of tape and some lubricant around the breech will help the sleeve seal better.

You can't fit the sch 80 around the tape. It is too tight. You are fine with just the pipe. That is what I use on my breech loader and it doesn't waste air. It won't harm performance.

I've found that those compression couplings don't work so great since they are so tight and hard to move. Here's what I did for my breech loader-it's a 1.5" coupling that I turned the inside down so the pipe could slide through but it was still tight. I drilled the hole with the closest size forester bit I had but it was still about 1/8" too small so I had to use a sanding drum to make the hole bigger. So now it is large enough that the golf ball can pass through but it is tight and has to be pushed through the pipe. I wanted to make the hole as small as possible to maintain structural support of the pile. It ended up still being very strong, especially with the coupler slid over the hole. It took a lot of work but was worth it.

As warhead noted, don't double post. If you have something else to add please use the edit button as we don't allow members to post twice in a row in the same thread.tony48 wrote:it's a 1.5" coupling
My design is airtight enough for me to use. Im sure ita not perfect but there is definately no noticable or drastic power loss. Hope you all like my pinkish/purplish 1.5" sdr 21 also
It was the only color available to me
