Making a breech loader for my golf ball launcher

I have a golf ball launcher that I built, I wanted to add breech loading to it,
My barrel is sdr 21 1 1/2
Do i just cut a spot in my barrel for the ball to go in and just sleeve it with sch 80? Or what should I do

try using the search tool, because there are many different ways you can do this. The sleeving you mentioned should work, but there are more "gun like" options you may want to try.

You've pretty much got it, but I suggest adding some method of at least partially sealing the breech.

Saefroch, I was going to seal it by sleeving it over with the sch 80 pipe, is that what you mean?

the sch 80 pipe will not be air tight and you will loose lots of power if you don't seal it up with O-rings.

SDR may be too thin to add o-rings. For a GB barrel you can afford an close to airtight breech because golf balls aren't very tight in the barrel

Maybe even a few layers of tape and some lubricant around the breech will help the sleeve seal better.

You can't fit the sch 80 around the tape. It is too tight. You are fine with just the pipe. That is what I use on my breech loader and it doesn't waste air. It won't harm performance.

As warhead noted, don't double post. If you have something else to add please use the edit button as we don't allow members to post twice in a row in the same thread.

My design is airtight enough for me to use. Im sure ita not perfect but there is definately no noticable or drastic power loss. Hope you all like my pinkish/purplish 1.5" sdr 21 also

It was the only color available to me
