Hi guys, I found a paintball store today, and they selles co2 bottles and compressed air bottles.
That´s the difference between them? apparently there are a difference in price, for the bottle of theme size
And what means 12 oz for a co2 bottle?
I´m goinh to use compressed air, will a co2 bottle work? they are cheaper

Compressed air bottles can usually take 3000-4500 psi, CO₂ bottles are rated for less.

12oz means it can hold 12 ounces of CO₂.

Compressed air (HPA) tanks have better performance than CO2 due to the density of the gas. HPA tanks are pressurized as high as 4500 psi while CO2 remains pressurized to around 870 psi as a liquid. CO2 is also measured by weight as a liquid. If you use pressure below 800psi co2 bottles will work for air unless you want to use higher pressure(I don't know why you would though. That's a lot of pressure. )

try get one that is aluminium or fibreglass, if its steel you will need to coat the inside with anit-rust paint because air your compressor sucks in is wet and will start to rust the inside slowly

Close...but not quite accurate.

Paintball co2 tanks have a maximum service pressure of 1800psi and are entirely safe to use up to that pressure. Proof pressure on these is 3000psi...same as the burst disc.

The pressure available from co2 is VERY temperature dependent.

I have some old co2 tanks that I regularly charge to 2000psi with my hand pump. I also have a 48cu inch HPA tank that I charge to 3000 psi manually, the difference in price comes from the HPA tank's built in regulator. It doesn't matter to me because I hook it up to my regulator, but if you're going "unregged" the HPA tank would be more consistent.

For reference of shots per fill:
20oz co2 at 2000 psi - 100 shots in my paintball semi at 200 psi
12oz co2 at 2000 psi - 50 at 200psi
48cu in HPA at 3000 - about 200 shots

I have bought 2 aluminium bottles, one is for compressed air, rated to 3000 psi, and one for co2, rated to 1800. As I´m only going to use 1000 psi(the best I can do at home ), both of them will be fine I holp .
Now I only have to concentrate on what I´m going to build next but I´m sure it will be loud and powerful

Sorry for the double post, but I got a big problem.
the bottles are 5/8" , and I can´t find a adapter for it, I have looked everywhere, even on ebay, but there is nothing that works and ships to portugal
I´m looking for something like 5/8" male to 1/4" female

Are you sure, can you post a photo of the thread and some dimensions?

I can find these valves, but that´s a pin valve, not a ball valve, I can´t use it
