Just thought i would show you all my latest project.
Still a very early wip.
the design is based on the KRISS smg.

planned caliber is 6mm for airsoft.


The body was just roughed out, and is made from a black ABS plastic, about 1'' thick. overall the weight is about 8lbs so far.
I do have covers, for each side of the giant hole that houses the breech/QEV.

for comparison, a real KRISS


A few obvious differences, the large mag well was shrunk, as i felt it looks less blocky, the stock is collapse-able, not fold-able. and the foregrip is one solid piece with the body.

The trigger mec is still a WIP, but should allow for full auto.
The trigger, with a stiff spring, and a pivoting arm will sit behind the pop off valve, and block it from opening. Once the trigger is pressed, the arm will move, allowing the pop off to open, for full auto. semi auto will be accomplished with a "tap" of the trigger.

Any comments, or ideas are welcome.

Interesting, what are you doing for a chamber? Remote line to a paintball bottle or similar?

rubber band was for testing, there is space inside for a spring.

Ah... doesn't look like it will last for too many shots, even at high pressure. The QEV is a little overkill in this case in my opinion, a 1/8" one would probably have given you sufficient power and conserved air.

Here is another photo with a cloud chamber attached.
The Pop of valve pulses the air, and further agitates the BB's. Ive found i get 2-3 BB's per pulse pretty reliably.

This is currently 6mm, and hold about 50 bbs, but i do have a .177 barrel for it as well.



I was taking a video with my iphone, and it fell onto the basement floor (concrete) amazingly, everything still works, except the audio in videos....

im sure you dont want to watch a BBMG with no audio... lol i will try and take a video with my wife's phone this afternoon. The sound is the legendary "daka daka daka" with about 2-3 bbs per shot.

I think i was misleading, this runs off of my compressor. The chamber is emptied every shot. The chamber is a 1/4''x6'' pipe nipple.

There is also a needle valve, built into the stock, at the bottom of the chamber near the quick disconnect, to control the rate of the pop off.

hmm interesting project...

I guess I am not the only person who wants to know this... why not a detent ??

or better yet... have you considered using an airsoft hopup unit ?

First of all, wow! The chassis is looking really good! The downside is it does make the stock look at bit ghetto by comparison.

Was going to suggest a detent but I see it's been recommended already. I would go with a mechanical one as opposed to an o-ring, you have a fast valve so pressure buildup is much less of an issue.

I think i was misleading, this runs off of my compressor. The chamber is emptied every shot. The chamber is a 1/4''x6'' pipe nipple

The abs plastic is actually leftover shelving from a grocery store where I work. Can u say free?

I had a detent on the barrel, consisting of a .177 cal bb protruding into the barrel, and in place by some latex tubing over the barrel.
For some reason this seems to smash the crap out of the bbs, and they come out as shrapnel. I'm currently re working the detent.

As for the wife, we celebrated our first anniversary in July.

@jack: the stock is removable/ collapsable and no where near done.

Jhalek, that is nice. It actually kind of looks like the kriss, amazingly close. Nice job on the detail work, does it split open? Might I suggest a red dot sight?

I'm liking the L4YER CAKƐ construction, I know I've seen it before in wood but for this it looks great!

Same old problem of the airtight detent of the airflow being blocked off before the BB can leave the barrel.

That's why I would go for a sprung ball.

clever trigger! this gun looks really nice, but if it shoots 2-3 bbs every time, is it accurate?

I've been messing with a similar cloud type feeding mechanism, but I'm have some trouble with inconsistency while using a QEV and DCV. My chamber was 1/2" what size is yours? And can you fire it aiming any direction?

heck no. Its a BBmg lol. the accuracy is actually decent when i use a 12'' barrel. the barrel in the photo is only about 5''... and accuracy is about what you would expect.

The detent functions like a non adjustable spring/ball, as the latex tubing is slid over the outside of the barrel, it serves as a spring pushing the ball into the barrel.

I think my issue, and part of the reason i get such good feeding, is the super tight bore barrel. i cant see any light when i put a bb in it, and point it right at a light bulb. its VERY close to 6mm. probably like 6.01mm

Sorry, I meant cloud chamber, mine feeds horribly, I'm trying to use 850psi.
