By the way what is that thing on the stand, looks like a pump or something

The gold/black thing is a road side pump, the black and red thing behind it is a simple tire pump. the other thing with the sprinkler valve is the copy of the thunderpipe.

You're clearly at home putting PVC parts together so a big bore piston valve coaxial is a very feasible project, using one of your sprinkler valves as a pilot. The difference in power compared to the low flow you're getting now will be a revelation.

The only tricky thing is making the piston itself, but there are several ways around it depending on the resources you have to hand.

For a piston in a 2'' coaxial chamber, a simple rubber cork can be used.

nothing like a 1 piece piston, made of solid rubber.

nice cannons, dont worry about messing up a piston valve. if you make yours easily accessible like i did, almost any mistake made during building can be fixed. (i made a some VERY big mistakes that I easily fixed.)

Or skip the piston valve and go for a big ass qev!!!

I understand the mechanics of a piston valve, I'm still trying to learn about qev's.

I've been away from launchers for a few years and you all are way ahead of what I am doing with launchers. I am WAY behind the learning curve

I've never really understood the need for the really big dead space on the ThunderpipeFX. The sawdust cannon did not need that big dead space. For solvents, fumes can be an issue as well as liquid, so a thin burst disk can be used to protect the plastic parts from the solvent based effects if needed.

For the rest of the cannons, I see you too enjoy the benefit of a good barrel selection. I have very few single barrel size cannons remaining. The Dragon and Mouse Musket are out of comission. My 3 active cannons are the T shirt launcher, Marshmallow Cannon, and the ABS Test Cannon.

I haven't fully tested the thunderpipe, yet. I have done some tests with water in my yard and it seems to work fine. I'm looking for a wide open spot to test it with a "diffrent' liquid, maybe milk, later this fall when it's a little cooler and more wet from rain.

Maybe we should not discuss items for that launcher due to the SF rules. Stick with water, fake blood, dirt, flour, etc. I did not metion igniting anything, only protecting the plastic parts from solvents.

That's the second time in as many days that I have had a rule infraction.

I'm really working on getting in trouble and only myself to blame.
