I need just a little bit of help, which the search did not provide for me, relating to making cartridges for a 3/4" barrel. Pretty much what its going to be is a sawn off break barrel shotgun, and its going to use coaxial cartridges piloted by a schrader and a hammer. I just need to figure out what to make the cartridges out of cheaply and easily. I have a dremel now with a sanding drum, so if you suggest using 1/2" pvc, I can try demeling out the barrel just a bit to make the 1/2" slide in and out. Me and Gun freak discussed this a bit in PM's, but couldn't really find anything that would work. I still need this to be able to fit 12 gauge shells though, because I am making the stock adaptable to change out for a hammer valve and still be break barrel (qev + poppet valve in other words).

Any time you remove material from PVC pipe you weaken it. Keeping it centered is a task within it's self. You should have a chamber big enough to fit your cartridge etc...

why not just use 3/4 pvc for catridges and throw a coupler on your barrel?

Jor, I want it kind of realistic, its going to be for milsim.

Jrrdw, I have a few lengths of 3/4" pvc, and centering is not a big deal seeing as its just going to shoot a spray of bb's anyways.

I will give it a shot on a different piece of pvc, and if it doesn't work then I may just have to find a piece of cpvc to use.

Not to be rude or anything, but if you don't know what the person is talking about in a help thread, then please don't comment. And what I mean is preloaded pneumatic cartridge, like jsr has made. Sorry jsefcik, but its kinda getting annoying to everyone by you bumping threads and commenting on things you don't really know about. Not trying to be rude or anything, I just hope that you realize that no one really likes a troll.

What I would do is sleeve the barrel in a peace of pipe, and have a little bit at the breach end the length of the cartridge free of barrel pipe but still having the sleeve pipe. then make carts that use the
Toolies Piston Valve, you then just need hammer mech to pilot the thing.

Why wouldn't that be fair?

You were not being fair presuming that 1 you speak for "everybody" you don't. 2 you flamed a member for asking a question. That is a direct violation of the forum rules. 3 now you arguing with a moderator and that could be even more hazardous to your account and your help thread!

Well, what ever happened to reading the entire thread before posting? And by everyone, I meant those of us who have had to deal with useless posts made by him. I honestly won't mind being banned, I will simply go to another forum.
