Sitting on a load of cash.......now what should I build?

My uni is building potato cannons as teaching aids and for student projects.
(Note: I'm not in the picture)
Upon hearing this, I stepped up and volunteered to help build. They gave me like 2K for building potato cannons.
Some money is going into building my first working proper piston valve. Other than that, what should I use the 2K for?

I suggest you use all metal to build.your piston valve if its to be used as a teaching aid. If you ever drop a pvc barrel sealer it could break very easily. I wish I had 2k to spend. I would build something large like vera!!!?

Was thinking of:
4" piston valve cannon. Most likely will be made from PVC - I don't think they're too comfortable with metal just yet.

Gort tried to make a 4" Mauler, and it exploded. Any 4" piston valve will have to be made out of metal. I'll even make it for you!! I've made, and sold valves before

I have a 4 inch pvc barrel sealer with 3 inch porting, works fine. It has a wooden piston. there are at least a dozen others in the forum as well. Now a 6 inch tee with 4 inch porting would be something special....

My 2 inch cannon had a $400 budget limit for the school. I built mine as a prototype. The school I mentored then built one within budget for the contest. Due to the selection of materials to save cost, we came in under budget.

HPA!!!!
A SCUBA tank and a regulator, and with the left over cash you can afford the parts to make yourself a nice high pressure burst disk launcher
I hope those citadel dwellers like puree

Build something like FEAR, complete with 4" porting piston valve. Add a blow forward bolt and semi-auto fueling mechanism. Maybe cut back on chamber size a bit.

I've never built a combustion before. I've never succeeded in building a working DIY piston valve - I'm gonna try a small one for steel darts this holiday now that I have a workshop to play with.
Would you guys recommend stainless steel for such a bigass gun?
But we have 2 MIT professors who I was working with. They built 4 hugeass 10ft long piston valve coaxials - in the picture. They only allow it to be fired at 60psi max though.

The citadel dwellers will most likely become puree if they get hit by the food lol.
The problem given was, deliver food to a citadel under enemy siege. I'd say just get rid of the original problem: the enemy siege. Just bring in JSR, Mr Crowley, some of the others and the enemy camp will become either puree or ashes.
One good thing: Singapore is near Aussieland and NZ. Any of the Aussie spudders, if you ever come to Singapore, please visit!

Maybe it's a better idea to just go large and keep the pressure low.
For that budget, I'm sure that you could get one of these:
... and turn it into a massive coaxial, say with a six inch barrel and 8 inch diameter piston.
Even at 10 psi it would be damn impressive, and with a bore that big, potato shotgun!

That's an encouraging biography; sounds like he'll fit right in here and contribute meaningfully to the community.
He was even more surprised to hear of the gatling gun
The one on the front page? It is quite impressive, I wish the builder would update it as he hasn't posted about it for awhile now.
