Hey guys,

My last air gun jammed so I decided to make a new one. I tried ordering a stock from amazon but it got stuck in customs for some reason, so I figured why not make one to custom fit my hands too.. I made a stock which took me about 8 hours of filing, shaping etc.. considering I don't own any power tools other than a jackson saw to cut out the really rough shape of it.. I'm glad it didn't take me more than a week!

I am going to stain the wood to a dark-brown color and of course mount the scope reasonably (it's on it's way).

For now, this is almost a complete project

I'm really happy with the results:
-Shooting pressure: 100~120 PSI
-Ammo: Screws / BB
-Scope: Not zeroed in yet
-Bipod: On it's way to me
-Piston: Right now hot glue, getting a delrin piston soon.
-Epoxy putty (gray stuff): Will be painted black once everything is done
-Scope mount: On it's way

*This entire gun was created using hand tools, except for the rough shape I cut for the stock.

I'll update once I get the new accessories and stain it.

excellent craftsmanship! wood stocks always look best IMO. what colour will you be staining it?

I will be making it similar to cherry wood, or coffee-brown

Shame about that scope mount.

There are neater alternatives that are quite cheak off eBay:

Both can clamp to your chamber or piston housing and give you a proper rail to mount the scope on.

Like I said, mount is on the way. Ordered the barrel mount bracket though, good thing to have laying around. Thanks for the links!

Did this with a bandsaw and belt sander. Holy crap nice job on the stock, looks top notch. Whats next, a log cabin?



At first I thought you mounted a commerical air rifle innards on a homemade stock. Definitely the best looking launcher modeled from a rifle.

To jack:
I personally don't like thumb holes, that's why I went for free handle design. I really liked his staining though, I'll look into staining mine more or less the same tone.

Excellent stock, I never have patience to finish a wood stock properly.
In the future you may want to leave the co-axial configuration, it limits a lot improvements, like a bolt-action or semi-auto.

so its 6mm barrel if i not wrong , and you have plans to use MOAR pressure in that piece ,about 400 psi ?

Unfortunately I currently have only an 8mm barrel. I plan on getting a 6mm to fit inside it / change it completely so I can get the best out of my gun. Regarding the pressure, I am now buying a small compressor which will go 200~250 PSI, I really don't have any use for more than that I think. The gun is already 400 FPS+ (estimated via coke can chrono test).
