I'm back! I haven't bee active in quite a while. Here's my latest project, both a continuation of my hammer valve project and a final resting place for my valveless airsoft gun that never saw the end of development.

Here's the full video.

It's already been modified since I uploaded the video. I've gone back to the trigger mechanism that's in this video:

Here are some pics, taken after modifcations since that video.

That is absolutely beautiful, mate!!!!
I am SERIOUSLY impressed.
Do you play airsoft? Or is it just a handy medium for your hobby?

Good to have back, non-hybrid building scum.....

Nah seriously, nice work, and some pictures would be cool too

Skimmed through the video because I'm at work but it looks good!

That's neat. I noticed the difference without the 'silencer' for what it's worth.

Ever think about adding a safety?

The power level is excellent for airsoft, probably some where around 400-500 fps.
I guess the tight bore barrel really saved the air efficiency and the low volume of output air plus suppressor made it pretty quiet.

Yeah, I bet the tight bore barrel made a huge difference. Wonder how heavier projectiles, such as the airsoft pellets that are 0.9grams would perform. Or even .22 pellets that can be nearly twice that, but wouldn't have as good of an air seal.

I feel compelled to make an air rifle. I haven't before simply because I like larger projectiles and I already have quite a few firearms. Thanks. :P

How well does the flare gun trigger work for you? I'm thinking of ordering one to use to trigger my valve with un-regulated co2

Here's the update video; I have another one in progress too.

The breech loader is almost done. It's fully functional but not how I want it.

@LnL:
I couldn't help but think about how similar this gun looks to some of your past creations while I was building it :D The flare gun trigger is very strong. only problem is the tip of it is steel and pointy so it either needs to be modified (which would be difficult) or the valve needs some serious fortification. The tip doesn't come very far out of the metal so you should take that metal cover off. For unregged CO2 I would assume it would do OK.

@Blitz and wyz:
The tightbore barrel makes all the difference! Not only with the power, but also the accuracy. Without a hop up, this gun has the accuracy of a low end airsoft sniper rifle. With my hop up that I can make use of now with the breech load, the accuracy is a little better.

Yes, the silencer makes a huge difference. Most noticeable in person though. A safety isn't really necessary, as I don't pull back the hammer until I'm ready to fire.

@Zeus:
Yes I am still as anti-hybrid as I ever have been :D
Pictures will come when the thing is done.

@mako:
I used to play airsoft more, but this is mostly for a hobby. I might challenge my friend who has a GBB M4 :twisted:

@jack:
The video is nothing special, more to come later. Thanks for the compliment!

Haha your voice has gotten a lot deeper since you were last here :wink:

Using an airsoft barrel was a good idea, I might have to give that a go at some point too.

Good job! Certainly impressive and can't wait to see the breech loader.
