Diaphragm Pneumatic Cannon Update 12/9/06: Vid+Dmg pics
Posted: Tue Dec 05, 2006 12:04 am
This is my latest cannon, it is based off my larger scale design posted here (keep in mind this is only slightly based off of it.
The chamber is constructed of a 4' section of 2" pipe, and the barrel is a coaxial 3/4" Sch. 80 paintball barrel. The Valve is a diaphragm design, which is placed inside of the union joint. The diaphragm is constructed of an inner tube from a bicycle (same place I got the schrader valve.)
I have yet to do any serious testing, but it does work and quite well. It makes a quite satisfying "pop" noise when firing. Ill do some chrony tests at a later time. Since I know that my design works...now its time for my full sized one [}:)]. Tell me what ya think! Any Questions?
