I opened up my valve I just bought called a 3/4" In-Line Valve and I had a question. There is a pin in the middle of it when you open it, what do you do with the pin? Leave it in or pull it out?

i tried using that type of valve, i accidently drilled out the hole for my blowgun exactly where the pin was, and it fucked up the valve. i just returned it to home depot for store credit

So should I return it and get another or is there another way to mod. it? Also if I do mod. it can I drill it and just glue that whole in the middle of the ring?

Drill the hole next to the pin (which is actually called a guide rod, but whatever).

Get a pair of pliers, And pinch yourself.
Then use your Pliers to pull the "pin" out. Drill a hole for a blo gun were the pin use to be, Then get the diphragm, take the pin, put it through the hole in the diphragm and bend it into that hole with an L shape on either side of the diphragm.
