first off this isnt my gun, im gonna try to
replicate this gun but i cant seem to figure
out how to attach the pressure gauge and
the schrader valve to the 2" coupling

does anyone know how to do this?

It has a threaded connection on the back of the valve that is threaded into the plastic.

i have to drill a hole in the coupling
and attach the dread connector
right?
or wrong?

Yes. Say its a 1/8" brass nipple on the gauge, you would drill about a 7/64" hole?(I use metric,so whats the next size down from 1/8"?)

Anyway the point is you drill a smaller hole then the thread is. Then you get a 1/8" tap and thread the hole. You then wrap teflon around the threads of the gauge and screw it carefully(and straight) into the hole.

This is really simple stuff. Make sure you do alot of searching before making a pneumatic and asking basic questions. We don't want you to get hurt.

You do know that pipe thread sizes are completely independant of standard measurments, right?

Chances are, the gauge has either a 1/8" NPT or 1/4" NPT thread. The former would require a "Q" drill bit, and the later a 7/16" drill bit.

Yeah, Ofcourse I do, Thats why I asked what the next size down from 1/8" is. I know the metric I.D's and O.D's of brass fittings up to 25mm but putting it into imperial is difficult as.....

1/4" = 6mm
1/2" = 12mm
3/4" = 18mm
1" = 24mm


But our alternatives for those sizes are:

8mm(Equiv of 1/4")
15mm(Equiv of 1/2")
20mm(Equiv of 3/4")
25mm(Equiv of 1")

See how they are 2mm out on most of them. I wasn't sure if your threaded nipples ect are the same because of that weird conversion.
