ok, i have a QEV that im gonna have to sleeve some pipe into. the inlet is one inch, the outlet is 1 1/16" and i gotta know what size pipe i should sleeve into that and then what psize pipe should be on the outside of the sleeved pipe.

but they don't have the right size pipe to glue in there, thats why i have to sleeve it.

Well as I don't believe that 'imforcedtodothis' understands that you were directing him to a chart on Harvel Plastics site in which displays the actual dimensions of the nominal pipe sizes. None the less, such a chart might be easier to find on the Spud Wiki.

I realize that, and please don't tell him. I am trying to get him to use his brain. It will hurt at first, but it could only help in the long run.

ok, i saw the charts. but the thing is that there isn't a pipe with a tight enough fit. if i knew the right size to pipe i could sleeve it in there and have a tighter fit.
edit: do you think i could sleeve some 1.5" sdr21 in there? it'd be be a tight fit, but it might work. anyone?

Can we see a pic of the qev and all it's markings?

then a 3/4" sch40 in the outlet... close but i dont think i can seal that with glue... its a wee bit too big to go in the inlet.

there is a special epoxy thats comes in a stick you mix by hand thats for plumbers and will adhere to almost anything and becomes hard like steel, you could get some of that and that would fill that gap no problem. Can't remember the name though.

Ive used this stuff and another brand to seal my moded propane regulators, and both worked great and i got both at home depot.

I'd just get one of those tubes of epoxy that looks like a syringe. Just squirt it down in there and use a paperclip to swirl it around. i've done stuff like that before and it works pretty darn good.
