When you bend it it makes one side thinner so you would want to make a gradual bend, really gradual. It's probably pretty dangerous. Does it need to have pressure there? Can you just plug it up before it gets to the bent part or is it part of the chamber?

If you still want to bend it, you could probably wrap it in duct tape just in case but i'm not sure if that would help at all.

What would help pretty good is if you can get some aluminum tape. That stuff is pretty strong and doesn't stretch. Either way, wrap it really tight and several layers think and you should be fine. Besides, it's duct tape, it fixes everything.

I wouldn't try it, as well as making the plastic thinner it probably makes it more brittle or somthing like that.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

It will make the plastic more brittle but I'm jsut making suggestions for in case you've already done it. If you're going to do it here's what I can tell you. When you heat it, grasp it with one hand on either side and push inward as you bend slowly. This will help minimize the thinning effect, though not by much. It's still not very safe. Why are you bending it in the first place and maybe we can help you with an alternate solution?
