ok guys i am making a mini pneumatic and i was wonderiong if u think a 3/4 chamber would be good for propelling an airsoft bb using a blowgun valve and a barrel that fits the bbs almost perfectly...its like less than 1/2 mm bigger i.d. than the o.d. of a bb
4" piston valved cannon-half done..( i spilt my cement...)
Hybrid- 75% done. need to build propane holder and drill/tap sparkplug hole..

how long is the 3/4 chamber going to be?
make a co-axial mini piston gun. 1/4" exhaust, 90° long elbow as a handle. reservoir, 1/2" gal. steel pipe, barrel : 8mm OD coper pipe (ID = 6.02 mm)
for the rest it's up to you. (with that concept, but more rifle style, i achieve initial velocities superior to the sound barrier. record = 363m/s chrony'd with 0.20grams airsoft BB)

it works the same way a sprinkler valve actuates a piston......... it releases air behind the piston, making the piston move backwards. pretty straightfoward......... it will work for a small diameter piston like what youve got here, but for larger pistons people use modded sprinkler vlaves to actuate. if you wanted the thing to be so F***ing powerful you wouldnt belive it, use a 3/4 inch sprinkler to actuate the piston....... but honestly, just use the blowgun. its cheap, simple, and will work for your situation. also, you can fill from the un-attached side of the blowgun!

@Spudthug - Bloody 'ell....you post 12 times a day....lol I know the feeling but I never had an average that high lol. You've posted over 100 times this week(since the 9th of march)
Anyway on topic, I use this special tool...its really common, easy to find, works pretty well with minimal flaws, and its exactly what you need. You can also download it for free...and with a few seconds of searching or USING THE BLOODY WIKI you would find out its called....Acutally find out for yourself by using the wiki, maybe you'll find other stuff your looking for there as well.
I mean it really should be a rule that you have to search the wiki before posting. I mean how hard can it be? Who cares about your psot count...I don't think of you any differently and so should other members....ive got 1700+ posts here but only 80+ on spudtech...im still the same person with the same knowledge. Post count means nothing.
There is a section in the wiki dedicated to computer spudgunning programs.

No, Spudthug, that’s not a crime, but your spelling and grammar are…
The GGDT is simple, there’s an instruction manual available on the same site where you download the GGDT.

The lack of common sense and basic knowledge of the hobby from the members of this forum makes me sick.

Instead of asking that question YOU could of spent some of YOUR time to read up on GGDT and find out how to use it which is very easy after small amounts of practice and study. We're not going to give everything to you if you don't do anything for yourself. Waste some of your life next time and study how to use GGDT then you don't have to keep making topics for other people to waste their life on when you can do it quite easily.GGDT is a program and you do need to use it therefore my responce was infact on topic.spudthug wrote:ok guys i am making a mini pneumatic and i was wonderiong if u think a 3/4 chamber would be good for propelling an airsoft bb using a blowgun valve and a barrel that fits the bbs almost perfectly...its like less than 1/2 mm bigger i.d. than the o.d. of a bb
I rest my case.
