I want to build a pneumatic and was was wondering if this design is worth putting together. It would be a 2"x36" chamber and barrel with a 2" barrel sealing piston using this http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6214& . Also I was wondering is mouse pads would work for seals. Finally are there any GGDT tutorials on how to use it because it said this design could shoot 200 yards. I have a bike pump currently and maybe an air compressor but I want it to be portable.

should work just don't mess up the valve it looks complicated and if u want it to be portable put a schrader valve on the chamber and got to your local bike shop and pick up a co2 tire inflater they use 12gram cartridges and would be perfect good luck :D

Do you know how many of those it takes to fill that chamber to 100psi? Alot. Go check out the 12gram CO2 chart stickied under pneumatic cannon discussion I think.

Mousepads work really well, as do neoprene pot holders. My friend's mom brought some home one day she's like "Can you use these for the cannon?" :D I don't know where exactly she got them, but they basically look like mousepads and have a furry red or blue covering on one side that if you peel it off reveals a REALLY squishy sealing surface.
