This particular cannon was built back in October of 2005, in memory of the late Bill Vogt, who was an esteemed member and moderator of the SGCT Forums.
IIRC, the magazine capacity was designed to hold up to 10 golfballs. The valve is a modified 1-1/2", actuated through a 1/4" blowgun.
At 120psig, the cannon would launch all 10 golf balls in less than a second.

How does it load each golf ball? or is it just put them into the air flow and they all go at once?

Man, you've sure built a lot of guns. A lot of amazing guns at that.
How exactly does the magazine work? I assume the golfballs are in the shorter length of pipe. Are they spring loaded and held in place with some kind of detent?

I’ve bean thinking about building a gun that used the Vogt pattern, what kind of muzzle energy do arms of this type have?

The beauty of it, is that it doesn't have any internal parts!- The launcher operates much like a "cloud" style BB Machinegun, in that it uses the Bernoulli Effect...
As the air is dumped out of the valve, it passes through a 1" hole that is drilled through the 1-1/2" sdr21 sleeved barrel. The airflow sucks a ball out of the magazine and past the 1" opening.
After it passes the 1" port,
pressurized air forces it down the barrel!
Each successive ball is pulled and pushed in the same fashion, until there are no balls left. This all happens very quickly, hence the full-auto designation.

Enough to go through six layers of 1/4" plywood!

Are we talking 6 layers staked or spaced out? Ether way, what pressure are you runnin’ this thing at?

Staked, or spaced out, no matter... it'll blow through 6 layers of wood. Now, I'm sure if I would've tried to space each layers out more than an inch, it wouldn't work.
But it work both ways when I tested it. - The pressure was set at anywhere from 100psig to a max of 170psig (which can only be done at work, with an industrial compressor).
100psig will punch through 6 layers of 1/4" plywood, whether all 6 layers are spaced out 1 inch or stacked together.

So correct me if I am wrong but once you fire the cannon every golf ball will be fired? Or does it have a certain amount that will be fired off of every shot?

Yep.

Thats pretty cool, now does that principle only work with circular projectiles or is that a dumb question? Like would it work if you made shells and lined them up in that section of pipe behind the valve.

Never tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't!

- That'd be pretty cool, in fact.

Do you have any tips regarding the chamber size to the mass of the projectile in this type of setup? I have a two inch barrel and I was thinking about trying this idea with cartidges made of paintballs in say cardboard?

The chamber volume should be at least 4 times that of the combined barrel/magazine volume.

Ouch ok, well maybe not then, I think I have maybe double and do you think that it would work with a supah valve?
