DBTBG - New idea for pneumatic
This idea came to me today in class to make a barrel sealing piston valve with 2 tennis ball barrels. Everything is to scale and I got the dimensions of the Spears website. Right now with the 1 chamber and 2 barrels there is a .5:1 C:B ratio. Let me know what you think and I might just build it this summer.

There that link should work.

I think you should just have one huge chamber to make a more comfertable shoulder mount

yea have 1 3-4" chamber with 2 2.5" barrels but have the barrels side by side instead of up and down...u may want to just have 2 modded sprinkler valves activated by one blowgun with 2 chambers leading to the barrels....
4" piston valved cannon-half done..( i spilt my cement...)
Hybrid- 75% done. need to build propane holder and drill/tap sparkplug hole..

That would be two guns on one port set up and why have the barrels under one another a side to side barrel set up with a tee spliting off into two elbows would be better because no barrel would be easier to get to so you simply have the same momentum in each shot.

Why not a larger diameter laucher that can fire three tennis balls in a sabot?
Or simply a single barrelled launcher with a small cloud style magazine?

Thats a good idea for a novelty cannon. Me i prefer a side by side opposed to a over and under. Theres a bunch of ways you could lay it out, me, i would use one big chamber, 3"X5' L, then lay the barrels side by side rite down the lenth of the chamber, well....1' longer. Maby one sprinkler to a tee, elbows, to barrels, 1 1/2"X6' L. Wish i'de thought of that last fall!
Cool, thanks for all of the input everyone, I am taking these ideas and will think through a revision of this design. But ya, I realize that the current design wouldn't be very powerful and like mentioned above... it will be purely a novelty cannon. I just wanted to build something that no one else has ever done. I think someone made mention to something similar to a launcher with 3 barrels DR made, but I can't look it up at the SGTC is currently down.
So, thanks again for the input and I am getting really excited about the possibilities of this launcher.
peace
ps. this was my very first time using Google Sketchup and it was so much fun to play around with, I suggest anyone to use this to make their designs as it is completely user friendly and intuitive. It only took me like 20-30 mins to sketch this up (including time to look up exact sizes of the components)

I don't know if anyone has said this, but something tells me that most of the air will go through the top barrel.
I actually was thinking about this the other day in math class, and since any diagrams I made are too illegible to be scanned, I spent about half a second drawing this on paint.
You get one of those triple converter things, then plug off the middle one. The red thing is the plug, the gray things are barrels, and the black box is the chamber. NOT so scale, but I think you can get it.
