PVC Welding screwup!

Unfortunately I just finished my new Golf Ball Cannon and my shaved bushing I made for the front of my barrel sealing piston valve leaks badly after it was glued. Any suggestions for a fix other than hacking it apart or starting over

you could always epoxy it, that worked for me.

Its already all glued together...and I mean everything. Except the back of the valve of course.

JB Weld.That is the only thing i've found that can really stick to PVC.

yes, but epoxy isn't pvc glue for obvious reasons. it works, and as goathunter said, JB Weld works very well.

Here's another quick question:
What sticks well to aluminum? I have to seal a small bit of aluminum in my propane meter. I tried epoxy, but it leaks like crazy, even when i roughen the surface.
Tried to seal up the epoxy leaks with superglue but that didnt help at all. Basically anything that will hold 130 psi will work. I dont have any jbweld or bondo atm, but anyone ever tried using that roofing caulk? I asked because I dont want to wait a week for it to dry only to find that it doesnt seal.

Knock knock people... The problem here is that pyro6314 already glued the whole valve together and the piston leaks at the barrel seat... He doesn't need JB-Weld or epoxy... His question is more along the lines of whether there is a way to un-glue the PVC joints so he can get to the piston... He wants to know if there is a fix without cutting the valve apart and either purchasing more parts or starting over from scratch... This isn't a question of what kind of sealant to use... He needs an un-sealer...
I honestly don't think I misread the original post...

Welding or solder? And as for the author just jbweld it or there is the alternative of starting over.

teflon tape.
Its not two fittings I need to seal, its part of an adaptor I cut from a broken propane torch. I would have just bought a proper adaptor with fittings, but NOT ONE FRIGGIN store I went to had them. I even tried several welding supply stores.
Just my luck I guess

Um kock knock everyone is saying to put epoxy/jb weld over the glued fitting to seal it so there are no leaks so nobody is reading it wrong. And how the heck did you glue it with pvc cement and it still leaks? I find it really hard to beleive that you used pvc cement and it leaks.

This kinda tells me that he can't get to the leaking piston, inside the fully glued valve... Now, pyro6314, if I'm wrong just say so - but from the way I read it, I'm not... The way I'm reading it is that the piston seat isn't sealing at the barrel... Remember, the photo attachment was taken
before the problem arose...

(It doesn't look like the bushing is all the way in there. I also don't see any primer. Did you use any primer (clear primer maybe). )

This is crap.
If you can, put glue over the leak and then make a vacuum. Otherwise just put epoxy, silicon, or jb weld over the leak and maybe some duct tape to hold the glue there.

wouldn't that imply that the bushing is leaking, not the piston against the barrel

i dont know why i didnt think of this before, put glue on the inside, that will help seal alot better.

the pics shows it not assembled..dur...
Obviously not glued yet here.
