hey, i made a piston out of hot glue and it seals and holds pressure. But when i try to pilot the damn thing, it all goes out the blowgun

did you do what i told you to do?

make a sealing face on the back of it so when the piston slides back it seals on the porting and then all of the air will rush out of the barrel not the pilot.

or just squeeze your pilot really fast if you have a blowgun.

The same thing happened to me on my gun, and i didn't know what it was. I think is was cause I didn't have a big enough air chamber.

Are you trying to port using only a Husky blow gun? Hmmm... let me know how that works for you. I ws going to do that but I was discauredged from doing so because it would not port fast enough even for a 2" piston. The feedback I got was to use a 3/8 or 1/2" Ball valve.

Does that realy work? You put your hand there and no air comes out?
EDIT: Mopherdude do have access to anyone who can lathe a groove or 2 for you? Put in a O-ring that will also help if you can do it.

ive had the same probloms, etheir you have to small a chainber or you blo gun dosnt acuate quick enough
try using a modified sprinkler valve for your pilot
wait does your piston slide back at all, if not use some vaseline as lube

i heard vasoline eats pistons. is this true?

i have had your problems also,

o-rings would be ideal.
i have found that caster oil works wonders
or simply do as pyromaniac said and
make a sealing face on the back of it so when the piston

i dont think yo have air let out quick enough so do what i did for my 2" piston go though your dads plmbing stuff and find a 3/4" ball valve and nipple (ha)... ok this might not work perfectly but you do need a bigger pilot

lol why woudl; vaseline eat at pistons..no it doesnt..can u move ur piston with your motuh..if not thats your problem and obviously u cant port a piston with a blowgun...chaos is an exception because hes jsut cool like that...

now im not saying its impossible to port a psiton with a blowgun but u have to have access to more than ghetto parts...chaoses is perfect

dude that still wont work...use a ball valve before anything..just hook up a 1/4 ball valve...it will work if u can move the piston with your mouth..i keepo telling everyone that is having problems to do this yet they wont listen...
