Does anyone know if they sell 1/4" check valves at Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware? I just don't want to order one online, i just wanna pick it up at the store.

I just figured this out. A presta valve is a check valve and its really cheap (free). I know Home Depot sells brass check valves that are like 10 each but I'm not sure what size. I'd guess half inch.

Ya, i went to home depot today and all i saw were the 1/2" and up check valves, and they were the swinging kind, not the spring piston ones. How much pressure can Presta valves hold, and are they usually 1/4" threaded?

No there not 1/4". I don't even think they're 1/8". It's some other size. If it's any help, I know they fit inside 1/8" braided vinyl tubing. I think someone else on this forum said they took presta valves up to 200 psi. I now for sure 120 psi is fine.

A schrader is a check valve, you get them 1/4" or 1/8" threaded.

I need it to where when you take it off the pump, it doesnt leak air. This is very critical to my design, so it doesn't accidentally trigger my valve which is very sensitive to pressure change.
