i have been looking for a 1/4 npt electronic valve for a remote detonated airsoft mine. it would be used as the pilot valve (i could probably just use the solenoid but i want people to fear this thing). the primary ammo for the mine is flour and with the solenoid it only shot the flour four feet into the air im hoping for at least six. does anyone no where i can buy a 1/4 electronic valve cheap? (a link would be very helpful)

You might try the water control valve from a dishwasher or laundry washer. IIRC dishwashers are 1/4" compression fittings (or something similar). Laundry machines use a "garden hose" inlet (3/4" or 1" or so).

Have a local junk yard?

Here are a couple that might work;
