Coaxial Bazooka?

Hey peeps, waz up. Sry for any noobishness that follows, but my first spudgun is a combusion, and was looking to make a pneumatic.
I want to make it look like a bazooka, so an bottom-mounted air tank is out of the question. I had an idea to make it coaxial (or whatever it is called when the chamber overlaps the barrel), where the barrel is completely enveloped by the air tank. This would achive the look I want, giving it a tube shape.
Is this possible to do? Or has it been done before? I know it is kinda hard to visualize without pics, but the gun would be shaped as a tube. I do not want any protrusions at the ends, it would just be flat. That would mean the valve between the barrel would need to be inside the air tank. Unless, of course, I would be able to achive this look some other way. If I missed a post about this, just point me in the right direction.

have you seen my coaxial?
this is a simple design. mine has a diaphragm, but most have pistons, which give it a more strrem line look to it. they are very simple. designs can be found all over the sight. and yes, many have been made,

"physics, gravity, and law enforcement are the only things that prevent me from operating at my full potential" - not sure, but i like the quote

Yes it would work, and yes it has been done before. Its pretty cool and I think you should go for it if thats what you want.
Here some peoples ones: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/bazooka-t6448.html
what do you want to use as projectiles?
Btw, it is called coaxial
EDIT: hi, you beat me to it!!

i happen to have just about finished a big Rocket launcher size coaxial cannon, im putting some finishing touches on it but its pretty much done (need to put on warning lables, and a few fire control boxes)
anyway its 3" in diameter with a 1" barrel, and a modified sprinkler valve as a pilot. its intended purpose its to launch pretty much airsoft shotgun blast for airsoft gamed but i have shot a few nail darts from it. ill put it in the pneumatic cannon showcase one i finishe every thing but ill give you a sneak peak... using a cell phone camera (cause i cant find the other one)

I don't know... I was thinkin either 3/4'' for paintball, 1.5 for potatos, or if i had the money, a 2.5'' tennisball and bottle launcher. I have a special idea for a water bottle bomb, using baking soda and vinigar, so it build pressure at contact, and explode later.
edit - BTW how likely is it to find 2.5" pipe at a hardware store?
Sweet bazooka singularity, that is exactly what I want to do!!! Ty for the ideas everybody! If I can convince my parents to let me blow another $ 50+ on pieces, ill build one. Singularity, how much did it cost you to build that thing? In general, are mid-level pnuematics more expensive than a mid-level combustions? Ie a $ 50 combusion like mine?

This is basically how a cannon like singularitys works, with the exeption of the CO2 tank and fill system:

i would say it cost me about $70 to make its a rough estimate becuase i tend to buy a hell of a lot more stuff that i need, this cannon was made using some of the extra pieces, of course i already had all the pipe (currently i have all sizes of pipe up to 4" except 2.5") so i dont remember how much that cost so i just kinda guessed... and i would say mid level pneumatics cost more, but with a pneumatic you have a guarantee of it going off every time you pull the trigger, and theres not as much upkeep you have to worry about (change electrodes, clean the chamber, ect)
when you say "3/4 for paintball" do you mean 3/4 CPVC becuase thats definitely a bad idea, that stuff not meant to hold pressure. i say go with 1.5 with its current setup this thing has a c:b ratio of like 8:1 which is an insane amount of overkill 1.5 should balance it out a little more

Ok, 70 bucks is pretty decent. Thx for the input, Origin, that pic was very helpful as well.

i got a compressor and use that most of the time, but i do also have a 5lb reg'ed co2 setup. it would take forever to pump this with a bike pump
