Usually people build ballvalve cannons as their first pneumatic. This is probably my 8th completed cannon and my first ballvalve. I built it just for fun and I'm actually pretty happy with it.

Specs:
-1 1/2" x 10" chamber
-1/2" x 24" barrel
-Schrader valve
-3 minute paintjob

Please don't suggest upgrading to a sprinkler valve. I simply won't. I wanted a ball valve cannon and that's what I have.

Also, would it be safe to use this even if I happened to forget primer on the pipe connecting the bushing to the ballvalve?

nice looking ball valve cannon. dont hold it by the valve when you use it.

wow, you could put a sprinkler val.... Only kidding! Looks like a blast: nice and simple. Getting back to the basics. Nice work.
What are you using as projectiles?

Cool paint job, it looks pretty nice for a three minute job.

If not a sprinkler valve, at least get a better ball valve! The metal ones with the big handels should give you faster opening control, and you can easily spring load them! :D As to your primer situation, I wouldn't trust it on holding, but my knowledge of working without primer is non-existent.

I have had a cannon never blow(minus a cracked threaded fitting) and I didn't use primer on it, and it was 2" pipe.
so you should be fine at 90 psi.
