as I live in the UK it is hard to find Pvc fittings and pipe for a good price for example on one plumbing website I saw 110 mm pvc pipe being sold at £40 per meter, and thanks to mr Brown £40 is about $35 so to over come the problem of lack of PVC pipe I've decided to build a spud gun out of PVC using only 1 PVC pipe insted of 2 so that the barrel and combustion chamber are the same thing the problem is the idea is only a concept and I'm wondering wether it will work.
Many regards ,MasterBlaster
I will try and upload a schematic of my design.

If you mean that the barrel and chamber are the same diameter, sure, it will work, but not very well. You'll get significantly higher velocities with a 2" chamber and a 1" barrel.

What is 1inch in milimeters?
Anyway I'm not really concerned about velocities just distance.y

The two are directly related. A given projectile will go farther if it leaves the muzzle at a higher speed.

Google is your friend..

Spoon.. Silver.. :D

you mean http://lmgtfy.com/?q=inches+to+mm ?

and there is no spoon.

saboted projectiles will give you the highest velocities and the longest distances.
