well i have not posted any of my guns on here for a while because no one liked me using ABS for pneumatics, so i was bored today and i had found a bunch of crap laying around and decided to build a combustion gun

so after all the ABS glue fumes had gone away, this is what i had

pretty simple design, a monkey could probly build it, and best of all it cost me 7$ to build

Damage pics woudl be nice

. And I dont think its that people dont like ABS...its that they dont like non-pressurerated ABS. Also your reducer is DWV...

lighter?
We didnt like your pneumatic because we already get bad press, and some kid losing his hearing to a "dangerous weapon" doesnt help.
anyway, nice cannon. you should make more combustions

well what ever, i am confident in my " SOLID" walled ABS. I am planing on making more combustions, i hate only being able to shoot where my air compressor is
EDIT: yea, its a BBQ ignitor with the flame still working, and i can use just the spark to, i wanted to see if the flame would give better performance than just a spark

Also, I question why you would use ABS over PVC in a pneumatic gun? The only reason I could think of for using ABS would be because it is more chemically resistant, but you dont use chemicals in a pneumatic gun...

well if you must know, i used ABS because i can not get presure rated PVC around here, the only way i can get it is to drive 1 hour north, and i am not going to wast my time driving down there to get some stuff, then realize that i need other things
PS: could a mod move this to combustion show case pleas

ABS has better chemical and UV resistance, higher impact resistance, and a much cleaner mode of failure than PVC. But yeah, don't use DWV plastic pipe (be it ABS or PVC) in a pneumatic cannon.
Nice simple cannon, looks like fun to shoot. The chamber seems a bit oversized though.
@Haithar: the entire gun is DWV, not only the reducer. As long as it's solid wall, it's fine for a combustion. Cell core may also be OK, but it certainly isn't recommended.

Couldn't you just pm a mod? I'm sure somebody wouldn't mind moving it so you don't lose the comments.
