First advanced combustion, so far its worked well. I call it Demetrios, I don't really know why but it sounded sweet. Video and vent (on cannon) will be added later.
SPECS:
Chamber: 3" ID x 16"
Barrel: 2" ID x 46"
Ratio: Between .8:1 and .9:1 (Including the elbows)
**Mapp Gas powered***
Ignitor: BBQ Ignition
Fan: Camping Fan from Walmart, MODIFIED for a external switch.
Meter Info: I used some copper fittings I had, along with pressure rated gas valves we had in stock at work. They are cleaner looking, and about the same price.
About the fan: What I did with it was this. Inside (on the balck cap) there is a copper strip that connects the circuit. I simply cut it in half, glued into place, sodered the switchs' wires to it and ran them through were I needed.
FAN VIDEO: And note, I used epoxy to hold it in place.
*Now for the money shots...

Very nice construction Octane, i like the way you have made it compact.
Now just to stir you up "Money Shots" should consist of pieces of debris after you have blown something up, or shot it full of holes!
Are you planning on a paintjob? I think a nice urban camo in grey would look cool. What pressure do you use in you fuel meter?

Very nice cannon! I like the thing thats holding the mapp gas it looks very cool. I think you should paint the barrel though, the primer stain makes it look kind of slopy.

This is a very well made cannon but as BigJon said you really need to paint the barrel

I will have a better paint job soon. Im an art student so I kind of expect it. I use around 90psi, right now it only reaches 75spi but the tank was outside...and Im in the US (michigan to be more specific) and winter is harsh.
The barrel will be painted soon, and the stain...well yea I put on a little too much primer. And thanks for the complement on the tank holder, just something different.

very cleanly built, can't wait to see it with the barrel painted.
Nice canister holder too, it almost looks like a flash suppressor/muzzle brake

Nice, but that BBQ igniter looks a little uncomfortable. Why'd you mount it backwards?

Its actually not bad at all. I like to shoot from the hip so it works out well. A future upgrade will be a ignition, so Im not to conceerned about it anyways.
