So i finished my first spudgun!
i was very much inspired and helped by this forum so i would like to share the result with you.
- Carbon chamber (35cm x 4.5cm)
- Steel barrel(50cm x 1.6 cm),
- Total length of 110cm.
- Ignition taken from one of those long lighters.
- Breach-loading mechanism with 1 o-ring.
i found an old microphone stand to be the perfect tubedonor for my rifle. All the tubes fit nicely into eachother and it feel very solid and heavy.
There is a kind of bolt to lock the barrel onto the chamber.
Allthough the chamber is small, this thing is LOUD! i was suprised a gun this small actually makes your ears hurt... When i use proper ammo the blasts are really strong. Shot a piece of pear straight through a plastic cola bottle, accidentaly broke a window with a dart w nail in it, and created numerous small bumbs on the wall...
Aiming is somewhat difficult, i would love to have a scope but were i live there is no wall-mart unfortunately :p
I have uploaded a video on the Youtubes:

Maarten

such a nice stock and setup! shame it has to be a spray & pray, maybe try to atleast use an external meter for some better performance.

Any pics of it assembled? I'm sure everyone would like to see it all put together with that fantastic looking stock.

HI everyone!
i posted pics of the assembled rifle but the admin removed them.. then he removed this entire website for two days. Site appears to be back but the pics are gone. Will post new ones soon!

That wasn't the admin, it was the *&(%, *(&^% of a *&^% hosting company. They lost the backups, too, but the admin had his own backups, which he restored from. your pictures somehow weren't included.

haha ok so the pics are lost.. no problem they were not great.
But it was the admin, he was kind enough to inform me by email that it is illegal for people with only 1 spudgun to post 3 replies a row... so i went to the website to fix it and the entire thing had just vanished like it was never there

That was me, and I'm only a moderator. The problem wasn't that you've only posted one spudgun, the rule applies to every member. You just need to go back and edit your first post and reattach the other two images (assuming you still have them on your hard drive).
edit: And your picture in your original post isn't appearing because the site was down for two days and any pictures uploaded between the 24th and 30th might have been deleted or something like that.

I'd love to see more detail on the stock. I have a few questions about it. Is it plywood or solid? Did you draw a template? Do you have an exact length?
If you have a template, please post it, even a photo with exact length will do
It just looks great, I'd love to build something similar. The whole completed gun looks really good too. I really like break barrel mechanisms as well.

nice gun it's nice to see something different in the combustion cannon form for some reason all most all combustion cannons are kind of big and clunky (probably due to the fact that they have to be in order to be at least the least bit powerful) but you made yours different (and portable). and BTW awesome stock i give it tree thumbs up . i just wish you had incorporated a fuel meter of some sort
