just wondering, is there any aussies on here who have bought parts from ultimatespudgun.com and if so, were you hassled by customs or no?

I'm planning to import their V2 ar15 igniter and 30kv module, but the new ar15 trigger looks like it may cop flack from customs due to it looking a lot like a real firearm part.

You won't get it in, I'd bet on it. It looks like an AR variant grip. The igniter "might" get in, if USG relabel it then there's a good chance, a barbeque igniter would be a good relabelling.

USG are good people, they'll understand our situation and help.

hmm, well, i asked mike at USG and he says there won't be any problems, even if i wanted a kit (but obviously not a complete cannon). so i dunno i might try my luck. i guess if i ask them to label it as a "photography flash trigger handle" that might work?

i doubt you can get it in with a relabel, your better of asking if he'd sell the cnc program and you have it milled here in aus.

I'm talking about the sparking circuit, not the grip. Anything that resembles a firearm or part thereof won't get into the country.

Unless you cast it within a block of lead with other bits of various metal, then the xray might not detect it.

Damn, you aussies got it rough. That sucks they give you such a hard time. If its only the ignitor you are worried about, try to get one from e bay first. Good luck, hope you get your goods!!

We've been shipping to Australia right along, no problems. Heck even JSR got one delivered to his cave in North Korea.

Gee, I've had this premonition that I'll develop a sudden interest in photography next year. I'll need one of those then.
