Is it possible to use Co2 as a airsource to vent a combustion chamber?
Say If I mounted a 9 ounce co2 bottle with a regulator to my cannon could i attach it to use it to blow out the old fumes?I know you guys are going to say try it and dont ask questioons but I want to be sure before I mutilate my cannon and waste money on my co2 setup.

no because then there would ne no O2 in the chamber

Co2 will replace air and you won't get combustion due to lack of O2. CO2 is not an "airsource" because there is no air in it, it's friggen CO2!!!

If you have a pneumatic gun shoot a blank w/o any ammo at the chamber (works for me) or pump air into into with some sort of a pump.

M3NT4L you seriously fire your pneumatic at your combustion to vent the chamber?!

If you really don't want to vent your chamber the old fashion way (with you breath) or wave your cannon around to air it out, I would get a chamber fan. They serve a double purpose, they mix the fuel and air in your chamber which gives you a better explosion, and you can turn it on with your chamber open to vent the exhaust gases after your shot.

Lol yeps ive tried it like twice, its because my shty marble combust has a realy uncomfortable chamber. Since the shooting air trick didnt work i put it on top of my air conditioning console and after a minute or two it cleares up.

Ya, To vent it I usualy have to take the barrel+endcap off and wave it around alot. I should get a chamber fan. Any idea on the diameter of one?

Actually, when you vent the chamber, what you are venting out is in fact actually CO2 (and water).

Think about it. What is a propane molecule made out of? (Say 3 Carbon and 8 Hydrogen atoms.) That's right, 3 Carbon and 8 Hydrogen atoms. You guys are smart! Now when propane is combined with 7 O2 molecules what do we get? (Say 3 CO2 molecules and 4 H2O molecules.) That's right again. We get 3 CO2 molecules and 4 H20 molecules.

So if we flush the chamber with CO2 aren't we just defeating the entire purpose of venting? I guess the only thing it does to help is get rid of the water vapor but it definately doesn't add any oxygen to the chamber.

I think there is more than co2 fumes left over because when i tryed to blow the fumes out(stupid stupid stupid)with my mouth, I almost knocked myself out. I think I will use compressed air. Nitrogen paintball tank should work.

You aren't using pure propane. You are using an aerosol spray fuel with a propane propellant that ignites. The problem is that the rest of the shit in the spray does not ignite and it stays in your chamber and smells horrible.

If you are using pure propane or ether or butane etc, there is nothing else left in the chamber except has just combusted.

If you had taken enough breaths from the non-vented chamber, you probably could have gotten dizzy from lack of oxygen.

Yes, I am currently using Axe. I am working on a regulated butane feed.
