With a 1/2" to 3/4" bushing it holds in fine, and when it is cold outside I would need multiple shots of Mapp gas because the PSI drops low in the tank, 1 valve works fine for me.SpudBlaster15 wrote:Looks good, my only suggestion would be to tap the fuel meter fitting through 2 layers of pipe next time, and maybe use a meter that has 2 ball valves, it would be easier to operate, and more accurate.

Well, I might change it, not sure tho.SpudBlaster15 wrote:The steel pipe is of considerably more volume than the hose per any given length, simply extending the pipe a few inches (you can certainly afford to with that long chamber) and using 2 ball valves would increase the meter volume to substantially more than it is now.fom wrote:when it is cold outside I would need multiple shots of Mapp gas because the PSI drops low in the tank, 1 valve works fine for me.

Nice gun, very well thought-out, very clean construction. Looks a lot like my over/under metered propane gun.
How do you hold it? Are you going to add handles?
Peace,
Pete Zaria.

I hold the front on the barrel, then my other hand by the rear where the elblows are. I'm not entirely sure if im gonna make a handle, I might tho.Pete Zaria wrote:Nice gun, very well thought-out, very clean construction. Looks a lot like my over/under metered propane gun.

I'll try to post some better pics sometime soon.
Note, I used zip ties instead of hose clamps - either seem to work fine. I might change to hose clamps when I paint it. I'm going to paint it glossy black - but I'm waiting for it to warm up outside. I'm also going to add a stungun circuit. The BBQ sparker jumps all the gaps on the spark strip and it's never misfired yet, but I want to say I have a 100,000 volt ignition. So stun gun it is.
Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Wow, your gun is insane! Very nice job, it would look awesome with black paint. I would suggest you change to hose clamps, they look better and you dont need to cut (and throw away) when you need to take them off.Pete Zaria wrote:@fom

I like your gun, I am pretty new on here, however I have some cannons myself, but this is definetly one of the top 5.
Nice clean construction too.
