Some people have experienced this error with Vista. I've no idea what causes it since I can't replicate it, but the cure is to manually register comdlg32.ocx with the registry.

No, I don't know how to do that.

1) Download COMDLG32.OCX (right click the link and save to your Desktop) --> http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/im ... MDLG32.OCX

2) Back up your current copy of COMDLG32.OCX (if one exists) and copy the file that you just downloaded to the c:\windows\system32 directory.

3) In order for this to work you must have administrator's rights. If you know the local administrator's password you can start the command line by going to c:\windows\system32. Find the "cmd.exe" application, right click on it and choose "Run As" from the menu. Enter the Administrator account name and the Administrator's password.

4) Make sure you are in the "c:\windows\system32". If you aren't, type "cd c:\windows\system32" to change to that directory.

5) At the prompt type the command "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx".

6) You should see a message saying "DllRegisterServer ... succeeded"

Hopefully that helps.

The .ocx files are included in the .zip file you downloaded. You just need to register them manually for SOME installations of Vista.
