Ignition: flash + ignition coil is very good, I use it for my hybrid Mix40.
I will test several ignition systems and I found a tazer to 2.6kv 15usd for on the net!
Be careful with the tazer, it hurts!

Thanks mr crowley!

I get myself some coaxial cable.
Here's what i made. I epoxied the cables inside a 1/2" fitting. If the moments comed to replace the cables or something I can replace it easy.

My manometers arrived yesterday!

More to come!

Edit 16/06/12 18:34

I've fully epoxied the cables that are inside the chamber.
The air was leaking through the wires.
Now the problem is solved. :)

Cables fully epoxied.

I'v mounted the ignition in place.
This week I will make a wooden stand for it.
When I have enough time this week, I will give it a nice paintjob.

Here some random pics. :)
I've already dry fired it. I works like a beauty.

looking good there :)

I hope you know that the copper barrel isn't very strong, MrCrowley had a failure with his barrel.

Maybe you can sleeve it in something to strengthen it.

Indeed, the barrel is not definitely. It just for showing.
The barrel that's on there is for my pneumatic bait launcher.

Edit: For this cannon I will use a copper barrel. But like you just said, sleeving in something else.

Yup, the small dent was caused by a projectile in a sabot. Make sure to check your barrel regularly and don't fire multiple small projectiles unless they are in a sabot which will survive intact inside the barrel.

First of all. I've demounted the propane pressure regulator because I want it detachable.

I made a simple wooden stand. Maybe I will chance it. Not sure yet.
The used wood is Oak.

have you tested it ? you know if you have to tweak or fix something you'll have to paint it again

Yep, everything is tested!

I use a O ring to seal the burstdisk against the union.
I need to do a little bit more tweaking about the propane pressure versus 1 bar of air and 2 bar of air, and so on...

The 2 weeks coming I have not much time so the updating may go downhills. No panic, I will finish this cannon!!!!!!
