Hi guys, i have a 3/4 steel union in my hybrid...ive only used bicycle iner-tubes which seem to be self sealing but i cant seem to get coke cans to seal....how do i combat this? use 1 layer of inner tube and one coke can? i cant see anyway short of machining o o-ring grove in there...

Maybe you could cut your own o-ring out of an inner tube, and make it the size of your union, so that it fits in the union.

The make gaskets that are meant to be put in metal unions, because they don't seal on their own. The gaskets are usually in little packages labeled "3/4" union gasket." They're also really cheap, just get one of those, and if you can't find one, just make one yourself out of sheet rubber.
