well here is what i will be doing while im waiting to re-make the piston for my co-axial its all sch 40 and has a male adapter flush with one solvent end cap and a threaded end cap and of course a schrader on the end cap.It will be as long as those 3 fittings and will be 1 inch pipe so that would mean if i had sch 40 1 inch pipe with sch 40 fittings it would surely be enough for 2x right? its going to have butane fuel from a lighter and a threaded end cap so i can put the fuel in.Im using a pen tube as a barrel but how do i attach the burst disc? which will be duct tape or plastic bags im new to hybrids and this will be my first help would be appreciated.

1x is equal to a normal combustion gun aka atmospheric pressure.

1" pvc should be ok for 2 or 3xi. Actually, it should take a lot more than that, but given the brittle nature of pvc and the failures we've had in the past I wouldn't go above 3xi.

You need to find a small union to put the burst disk in, but with a gun this small why not make a 1/4" piston valve instead?

this gun isnt really for the power you get from a hybrid its just to build it because hybrids are a toatally new frontier for me and they really make me interested.Isnt there another way to put a burst disc in besides a union im ging for simple hybrid not complex superpowerful hybrid.

If it's only 1x mix, this is not a hybrid, it's a combustion.

nevermind its 2x sorry about the confusion.

All hybrids are combustion. But not all combustions are hybrids.

Technically, this particular gun is a burst disk gun and not a hybrid or a generic combustion.

I meant regular combustion. And even if it does utilize a burst disc, It would still be a regular combustion.

it is a hybrid because it will use compresed air and fuel i just need to know if i can put on the bust disc without a union or anything like that answer that and i will go away and you can argue whether this is a combustion or hybrid or whatever please help!

Oh, I am sorry if it seemed like that last post was aimed at you, It wass meant as an answer to jimmy's post. You could just use some sort of compression fitting to hold the burst disc, other than that I'm not sure. Plastic bags worg pretty good as discs.

Theres no such thing as a simple hybrid.

I just finished mine. :D It's frickin' tiny! The chamber is a 1 1/2" coupler with a 1/2" threaded bushing, close nipple, and union in the front, and a 1" threaded bushing and plug in the back.
Ignition is a tiny piezoelectric lantern sparker, fueling is done through a plastic syringe. Fueling is the hardest part, because I need around 2.8 mL for a 1x shot. I've only shot at 1.5x so far, and I'm not going above 2x.
The barrel is a 1/4" x 10" nipple (fits those little candy gummy things, Jujubes, PERFECTLY). I even have a little wooden stand for the gun and everything.

The best part about it: 100% (yes, a full 100%) spare parts hybrid. It's not even some ghetto piece of shit made from a gatorade bottle either.

I disagree. DR made a hybrid a while ago that he just sprayed a bunch of starting fluid into and added air until it fired. I've made a BS hybrid out of spare parts before that I eventually took apart AGAIN to make a pneumatic out of.

The only thing limiting a hybrid's simplicity is the user.

That's right. Some people start gathering the pieces and building with one only idea in mind. This works for basic combustions and pneumatics, for a hybrid to be simple, it is recommended you do a little homework and pencil design. Even if it's only extremely simple, it shoud be a support for the future cannon. I remember doing my first little hybrid in steel couplers and reducers, if i hadn't design it before building it, it would've be a disaster lol.
