Anyways, I've heard that if you cut up aluminum cans, you can make sheets of metal that work well as hybrid burst disks. Also, I'd recommend checking the wiki on burst disks. By the way, do you need a gasket to hold the burst disks tight?

i think it depends of what you are using for burst disk it is pretty hard to get two pieces of metal air tight if you clamp them together so i think it would be a idea with gasket on your disk if you are going to use cans. but if you use some type of plastic like bags or something it would be easyer because it is soft and seals well
sorry (crappy english)

For my mini Hybrid (12.7mm) i use Duct tape, 1 layer for mixes up to 3x, then 3 or 4 layers up to 7x.
For my larger Hybrid (23mm) i use Teflon sheet around .5mm thick. 1 layer holds 70psi. The size of the union is 30mm.

A triple layer of aluminum soda can works well at 650 psi.
And yes, everyone, I'm still on. I don't post when it's not actually worth posting, but I do read most of what goes on.
