I just have easy acsess to malleable iron and in lots of sizes and I want to make a hybrid out of it and I would like it to be safer than useing sch80 pvc but is it

yes it is almost certainly safer then pvc, i posted a few day ago about some malleable iron fittings.

Deflagration to Detonation Transition.

Bad if your a average spudder, good if you have one helluva strong chamber and want to break the sound barrier.

More or less the shockwave from the flame front travelling faster then the speed of sound is too strong for the pipe to handle and it fails.... I think.
