i'm blowing up my hybrid

hey, i think everyone remember my tiny hybrid?

i have decided to get a test done for the spudding people, so i am going to send my hybrid to Larda and he can put up to 150x air/propane in it and set it of.

i was thinking something like this:
he put it in a big thinwalled steel pipe and start at 10x. then he goes up in mixes until it burst. then we can be able to see how potential shrapnel damage the big pipe.
if it turns out good i might make more chambers in different sizes to try to make a DDT with Oxy/Propane.

also it can turn out to be done a test with DWV pvc etc if he wants to do more.

the reason i made this thread is i want to get this done in the best way possible, to get results of the damage a hybrid vessel burst can do. so do the members have some suggestions?

one more thing... is it better if he just hydro test it? i personally want to get the hybrid results since i am a fan of hybrids. if this chamber acctualy takes like 40x we have learned much from it.

(the chamber has malleable fittings and one of them has a hole drilled in them)

He wants posts, and he thinks the outer shell would be capped, I don't think it would.

You said you were going to put it in a steel pipe not much to see most likely.

have you seen pipe bombs? it is a pipe bomb in the principal.

i think those pipes is going to get ripped apart and we are going to get awesome results.

Yeah I've heard of them. I was thinking that when the chamber exploded the steel pipe would stop the frag. That video should go on the homepage when it happens.
@pizlo Did you post on here JUST to criticize me?

When I read the title I thought for some reason that you were going to blow up your golf ball hybrid

I think that it's a great idea, if nothing else it will at least make a great video.

Flinger: it will uncover the bare truth of the SCH40 welded steel.

Jack: i can do the PVC test myself, the reason i send steel to larda is my air limit. 11x should be enough to burst any PVC.

I don't think it will solve anything...the caps will probably blow off and what will that prove.
Each piece of pipe is different, and one can't make a truthful statement based off of one inconclusive test.
A proper testing chamber would probably have to be welded by a certified pipe welder(which I will be certified in btw by next june) and have several tests done.

so... that proof nothing when it comes to ordinary people.

they will know how safe a CHEAP hybrid is. not something that just some prople can get.

i am going to use threaded fittings and if they blow off it is as simple as a locking screw.
