So I've had that old <a href="
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... -hybrid</a> for a while and never really used it. I basically make it just to have a hybrid. I got tired of having a shit gun and decided to make a launcher that deserved to carry the name hybrid. (When putting this launcher on the stand for a few pictures I actually threw the other hybrid off.

)
I don't think there is much to say about it. It's got a meter pipe, air input, an one of my control boxes with wireless ignition, LED chamber fan. It's all schedule 80. 4" chamber, 2" union, 10' 2" barrel.
I had a lot of nice pictures but after saving them all to my flash drive and deleting the ones off the camera, they somehow all became corrupted!

So here's the one that survived. (Click to enlarge.)

I did not test this gun yet. I am not going to test it in my workshop. And it is cold outside, so that won't work. This will wait until spring for shooting.
I'll see what I can do about more pictures. Video will have to wait.

Oohh shiny! Just a random question, how do you oil the ball valves? The ones at my Home Depot are really stiff. Do you use a solid lubricant (like graphite powder) or something like WD-40?

I have never had a stiffness problem with metal ball valves.
But I'd use a light oil like 3-in-1 oil.

KY or "oils" of the sort work well, i hear something about oil on ball valves is bad, i might be wrong though, read it a long time ago. i think vasline is good too, i might be wrong. also, nice hybrid, much respect.

Shaumburg? That isn't that far from me. If you wanna come visit or something you are welcome to. It's a lil cold so the only shooting that we can do is in my workshop over the weekend or after 8:30 pm on weekdays.
As for takin my old hybrid, it's not really a safe chamber for hybrids and it's been stripped of anything useful anyway. It's just chamber really.
I usually get about 2 orders per week from my site. They are usually Mauler orders or ignition sources. Sometimes specialy barrels and stuff like that. I have got one order for a Blue Flame and one for a custom dual QEV gun.
To answer Frank, the fuel meter is dumped a number of times, then the compressed air is let in with a certain pressure.

yeah, Shaumburg. my cousins go to Edgar Allen Poe elementary, if you've heared of it.
I was kidding about the hybrid more than anything.

Cool. Definitely looks nice and clean. I always like the sch. 80 color, it looks professional.

Whats with the threaded plug? Chamber Fan? You shouldn't really need one. That plug must take the rating down a bit, how many (?)x atm do you plan on going up to?
Nice gun by the way sorry for all the questions.
