hey all i'll be using this inflator - http://www.genuineinnovations.com/bicyc ... -plus.html

in my vortex cap gun- but I just wanted to double check that I could use any 12g co2 cartridge with it? because on their website it says

" Works with all Genuine Innovations threaded and non-threaded CO2 cartridges "

So I just wanted to make sure i could use it with 12 grams I picked up at the store.

Thanks

its a .177 cal BBMG- vortex cap style.

I'm not expecting it to last long. I just want lots of power and portability, and a 12gram provides that

well I prolly won't shoot it off 12 grams every day.

I'm going to make it so i can remove the inflator and hook up a compressor.

The inflators just for when i want to go badass and rip the shit out of something.

But yes, when i shoot it with the inflator i will feel my wallet burning thru my pocket i'm sure.

My 12 gram bbmg ( Pnuzi) was too expensive for me to fire every day...
The bulbs gave it about 2 seconds of firing...

Glad I sold it.. :D

That's the one I have.
Very nice tyre filler IMO.
They had a clearance on them at one bike shop and I kick myself in @ss for not buying them up.

It takes 12 grams (so, definate yes).
Cool thing is it takes 16, or 12gram, threaded OR non, prestas OR shraders, and with coins or washers in handle takes 8 gram too (although the 8 gram N2O cart.s are a little wide into the threaded part, they still work well).

You could get a "dummy" 12 gram co2 cart with threaded hole in the side and use a hose and larger co2 tank.

Or mod a threaded cart. top and install a lower pressure hose for propane or compressor use too. (would cost less$ also).

I get about a 3- 4 sec. burst of co2 from a 12 or 16 gram cart from mine.

I might use mine as a high pressure pilot sometime too, by cutting a threaded cart. and epoxying top into a reducer bushing maybe. 8)

Besides the automotive N20 use (MC), (or hybrid fueling) by using larger N2o tank w/ dummy cart. installed. :D

Hmm that's a good idea where would I get a dummy cart? Also how would you go about modding one?

Dang! My computer is slow today!!!
Palmer's paintball carries them.

$25 bucks OR maybe we could get Will's Free Manufacture + shipping(?) :P

I was thinking of modding a spent one instead but $25 seems far more practical (safer for co2).

A hole would need to be drilled in the plastic handle (pretty simple),

And (if I'm correct) a remote line for Paintball co2 tanks fits the threads.
I found a coil one for $30...(maybe it could get more practical to mod /have a shop mod pressure washer, hydraulic or maybe paintsprayer hose(?)( like mentioned in my pressure washer hose thread).

Been interested in testing the dummy cart. ,hose and 3000psi tank in a co2 pistol...it will be very dangerous, or interesting.

As for modding one, the filler accepts the threaded top cartridges (more expensive)
But using those, the handle is not needed...(because the top threads into filler puncturing the seal).
So (how I'D do it ,do at own risk), is to chop the cart domed end off, and use a simple fitting, epoxy maybe and/ or compression fitting, maybe silver solder, hose barb, hose clamp (for propane or typical 125 psi compressor) , maybe up to 300 psi from fridge compressor, regged co2 etc....

BTW, new idea now, chop a threaded cart., weld the co2 remote line fitting in...save $25 or shipping fee! Hmmm... 8)

EDIT:  Scrolled down same link in this reply...found macro-line @$2 per foot and fittings ...I love "helping people"...2 new ideas from 1 reply!!! :D 8)
