Hey guys been a long time since ive been on ive recently salvaged a .177 barrel from a pellet gun and got inspiration to work on a really nice inline bbmg..well this is the first time ive made a vortex block can you guys check out if it will work well with .177 steel and cooper bbs?
Materials i used to make it:
The inner vortex core is 3/4 copper pipe
Block body is made of 5 min locitite epoxy resin casted around the pipe.
i was hoping this could stand up to the wear and tear of .177 bbs
JSR should be proud=)..

Cool, got a drill press? Looks like it'll be a bit difficult to drill with a hand drill. Anyway, looks nice.

Most definitely, especially since the hole is reinforced with the copper. I reinforce wood blocks with PVC in airsoft vortexes, which works well. This one should do quite well. Good thing you have that drill press. I wish I had one; my dad keeps saying he'll get one but he never does lol

You could have incorporated the barrel directly though...

i didnt want to incorporate the barrel becasue i was worried about barrel alignment problems and such... being my first vortex and all.. i am thinking it will be difficult to align the air inlet hole from the vortex block through the pvc chamber..any tips?

Alignment shouldn't be an issue if you have a drill press.

A tip to align the block with the pipe....
determine where you want it.
Hold the block in that position on the outside of the pipe.
Mark the hole on the pipe.
Take a length of wood ( for instance) and use that to mark the distance from the front of the block to the front of the pipe.
Use the piece of wood to insert the block all the way to the mark and drill the hole.
(Look into the pipe to see if it isn't in upside down or sideways.)
Drill slightly smaller than .177!!!!
